VHF CH 16, Cell *16 or 911
- Go to the Marine Weather link to see current local conditions.
- Find out what the Tides are doing
- Make sure you have your Boating Operator Card (PCOC).
- Get tips on making your boast safe by going to the Canadian Safe Boating Council
- and the Boating Safety Canada
- There is information for boaters at the Transport Canada web site
- If you are going to be using a marine radio you should get your Marine Radio Operator’s certification.
- If you are going to be crossing International borders you should check out Canada Customs boating information.
- You can find more boating safety information at the RCMSAR BC site
- and at the Provincial Emergency Program web site.
